Zero Racial Disparities in Infant Mortality by 2033

St. Louis is the sixth most segregated metro area, and racial inequities are at the center of our infant mortality crisis. Black mothers face more barriers that prevent them from experiencing a healthy pregnancy than White mothers. Challenges like poor access to transportation, healthy food, safe housing, adequate health care and trauma can detrimentally affect expectant mothers and their unborn babies.

In this video, hear Black families in our community share their personal experiences dealing with racial inequities and barriers to a healthy pregnancy.
